Endoluxe Inc. is pleased to announce the selection of our endoscopic system for the 2021 Medical Design Excellence Awards. Working with HS Design, Endoluxe designed its Orb system to replace the legacy endoscopic tower with a wireless, handheld system that is technologically powerful and ergonomically pragmatic, but also very aesthetically pleasing.
“Our vision for a high-definition, completely wireless endoscopic camera solution including a light source required the ingenuity and creativity that only HS Design could provide,” said Neal Patel, MD, Founder of Endoluxe. “The end result is a product on the cutting edge of technology that truly looks the part. It is absolutely beautiful.”
The Medical Design Excellence Awards (MDEA) is the premier awards program for the medtech industry. Since its inception in 1998, the mission of the MDEAs has been to recognize significant achievements in medical product design and engineering that improve the quality of healthcare delivery and accessibility. Endoluxe received MDEA’s 2021 bronze award for Gastrointestinal and Genitourinary Devices.
“In bringing a new product to market, our goal was to beat the legacy products on features, aesthetics and pricing,” said Phil Zhao, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Endoluxe. “HS Design helped us knock the ball out of the park with a beautiful, feature packed product that we can offer at 1/10th the price of legacy endoscopic tower systems.”
